When on the move, the 4.2” Multi Information Display (MID) provides important trip and vehicle information including outside temperature and average fuel consumption levels.

Maintain a constant speed on the highway with cruise control activated and adjusted via convenient steering wheel mounted controls.
On even the hottest days, you’ll have the highly efficient air-conditioning to keep you comfortable inside, rising to auto air-conditioning on Crusade.

To provide exceptional durability as well as quality ride comfort and handling, the frame has been optimised to provide greater torsional rigidity with the cross members, side rails and suspension towers being reinforced to achieve this.
The reinforced steel underbody protection provides an extra layer of defence when travelling on loose or uneven surfaces.
Fortuner is more than just a hard shell, it's also packed with the very latest technology and smart thinking from Toyota. From the outside in and from the bottom up, you'll find plenty of intelligent features that not only make the drive highly enjoyable, but also a more refined way to get out there and explore.

3 x 12V accessory sockets are standard in every Fortuner to charge or operate your personal devices. Step up to the Crusade model and you’ll also find an AC220V accessory socket at the rear of the centre console.
Intelligent Manual Transmission (i-MT)
Fortuner is also virtually impossible to stall in difficult conditions or carrying heavy loads when you switch on the Intelligent Manual Transmission (i-MT) in the GXL or Crusade. It uses sensors to automatically regulate the engine revs to the optimum level during gear changes and when moving off.
Power Back Door
To make it even easier to load and unload Fortuner Crusade, the powered back door can be opened and closed without the driver needing to leave their seat or be controlled from the rear of the car. Plus the memory function allows you set and control just how far up it opens, making it perfect when you're parked in areas with lower clearance.
Fortuner Crusade features an integrated Satellite Navigation system that displays directions through the 7” display audio unit.
You can connect all your suitable smartphones and devices with full Bluetooth®[B5] Connectivity via the 7” audio unit.

Receive easy-to-follow directions and the latest weather information, as well as download the latest music streamed through the Pandora®[TL9] app.
Off-Road / 4WD Capability
With its origins influenced and inspired by Toyota’s iconic SUV and unbreakable HiLux range, Fortuner already boasts a proud and proven 4WD heritage. It also features the latest in technology to make light work of heavy going.
The electronic transfer switch makes it easy to select between high range 2WD or 4WD and when the going gets tough, switch to low range 4WD.
The reinforced steel underbody protection provides a reassuring extra layer of toughened defence when travelling on loose or uneven surfaces.
Downhill Assist Control (DAC)
Downhill Assist Control (DAC)[G14] is standard on Fortuner GXL & Crusade. When driving down steep slopes where the engine brake isn't sufficient to reduce the speed of the vehicle, the brake force is automatically controlled to maintain a low vehicle speed. This makes it possible to drive down slopes without the tyres locking while keeping the vehicle stable and allowing you to concentrate on steering operations, even when driving down slippery, steep or bumpy slopes.
Don't let the good looks fool you, Fortuner is built from the ground up to handle virtually any terrain or to perform smoothly and powerfully when travelling on the open road.
When it comes to muscle, Fortuner boasts a massive 3,000kg braked towing capacity[G6] on the manual transmission model, so the boat or caravan is welcome to come too!
You’ll also enjoy outstanding fuel efficiency[G11] with the electronic common-rail fuel injection helping deliver figures as low as 7.8L per 100km[G11] (combined) on manual transmission.
This unique suspension package not only provides the best set-up to tackle Australia’s harshest conditions, but provides customers with a superior level of ride and handling.
With its 2.8L 4-cylinder Turbo-diesel engine, Fortuner gives you the power to go where you choose. Developed from scratch to provide unprecedented reliability and response, it delivers a grunty 450Nm of torque with an automatic transmission, tuned exhaust and advanced engine noise suppression.
Fortuner is seriously tough all round, but it’s never soft on safety. When you're travelling with a cargo as precious as your family, you'll have the reassuring confidence of knowing Fortuner's been designed with safety as a top priority and awarded the highest ANCAP 5 Star Safety Rating.
When you're reversing around restricted areas or where there's other vehicles or people around, the reversing camera[B4] helps provide you with a clear view of what’s behind. The display screen also displays static guidelines to help you reverse smoothly into tight parking spaces.
7 SRS Airbags
All variants of Fortuner will feature 7 Airbags, offering driver and passenger, driver’s knee, side and side curtain protection.
Trailer Sway Control
When you're towing a trailer behind you on the open road, the Trailer Sway Control (TSC) automatically uses brake and engine output control to help limit trailer movement should it experience excessive sway due to cross winds, variable road surface or steering changes by the driver.
Emergency Stop Signal (ESS)
In the event of heavy braking, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) will automatically activate the rear hazard lights to warn the vehicles behind.
Vehicle Stability Control (VSC)
If you're driving and corning on slippery surfaces Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) uses electronic sensors to control the drive and braking to help you maintain grip and reduce understeer. Plus the intelligent Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) helps you to stop quickly and safely.
Impact Absorbing Structure
In the event of suffering any heavy impact, the impact absorbing design of Fortuner effectively absorbs and then distributes the force of the incident.
